It Is Written in Your Cards
Embarking on my spiritual journey, I was fortunate to be guided by a specialist in the art of tarot card reading. This ancient practice has been a source of profound wisdom and guidance for over 35,000 years. Unraveling the intricate meanings of the cards is a journey of knowledge and training.
I often pull out the cards when I am looking for a quick answer to a question, but I’ve been asked everything from the outcome of a surgery to whether to leave one’s husband. While I prefer reading the Akashic Records, a strong spiritualist understands several modalities. Let’s cover the basics of tarot cards.
The Tarot deck, a blend of the Major and Minor Arcana and numbered cards is akin to a deck of playing cards. But the meaning doesn’t just come from the card. It's the spreads that give the divination. When I start with a new client, I like to use The Tree of Life spread. This provides a foundational understanding of the soul's journey. From there, we can delve deeper into specific questions using other spreads.
When reading at a party, I often let a person ask a single question and see what answer comes from a three-card spread. We might add a card or two to receive a deeper answer if a clear message comes through. There are other spreads designed for specific question such as health, partnerships and job change. From my experience working with tarot cards, I always advise clients that they shouldn’t look for more than a three-month answer because astrology and the movement of the planets will impact a reading. I like to remind people that the future is unwritten.
I have found the most unethical people in my field to be tarot card readers, so make certain you work with someone well-respected.
